Chita Rivera is an American actress, dancer, and singer best known for her roles in musical theater.
In December 2002, she received a Kennedy Center Honors award making her the first Hispanic woman and Latino American to receive this honor.
Chita was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009.
